Finish a card early and the timeline pulls forward. Miss a date and the projection moves, with the reason attached, and the client sees it without anyone writing an email.
What it is
The status update is the symptom, not the job.
Most project tools draw a picture of a plan. The moment anything finishes early or runs late the picture is wrong, and somebody spends Monday morning dragging bars until it looks right again — then writes an email telling the client what the bars now say.
Narcove treats the plan as something the software owes you rather than something you maintain. Work moving is the input, not an interruption: finish early and everything downstream pulls forward, slip and the projection moves with the reason recorded against it. The client is looking at the same plan you are, which leaves the weekly status email with nothing left to say.
It is our own product rather than a client build. We run it, we support it, and we carry the consequences of anything we got wrong in it — which is the same arrangement we offer for the software we build for other people.

The Chart

Estimates that calibrate
Time logged against real cards feeds the next projection, so the numbers come from what the team actually did rather than what it hoped it would do.

Clients see the live plan, approve work or ask for changes, and are told when the projected finish moves. Invite-only, and free to them — you pay for the people doing the work, not the people watching.

The stack.
Next.js and Supabase, deployed blue-green so a release never drops a request in flight. Plan limits are enforced by database triggers rather than in the interface, so a tier is a fact about the data and not a thing the UI politely asks you not to do. Free to start; £15 a seat a month for Pro, plus VAT.
