No cookies of our own. One marker, for one thing, and here is exactly what it is for.

None. This site sets no cookies at all — not for analytics, not for advertising, not for preferences.

The carbon badge

The badge in the footer is served by EcoPigs and reports what this page costs to load. To work that out it measures the visit: how long the page was open, how far you scrolled, and how many times you interacted with it.

It keeps a single marker in your browser’s local storage so it can tell a first visit from a return. That is a marker, not a cookie, but it is still something stored on your device, which is why it is written down here rather than left out.

It sets no cookies, never sees what you type or what you enter in a form, and does none of this at all if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.

The booking calendar

If you load the booking calendar, Cal may set cookies of their own at that point. That is the reason it waits for you to ask rather than loading with the page.
