Climate action plan
OYNK Ltd · CA 2.1 · Approved by the Director on 15 September 2026. Target dates below run from that approval.
Ambition and scope
OYNK supports the global ambition to limit warming to 1.5°C. We focus on reducing resource demand in digital services and in our own remote operations. This plan covers OYNK’s operational activity and relevant purchased services; supplier boundaries and data limitations are recorded.
Targets and actions
1. Inventory of operational sources — by 15 December 2026
Within three months of approval, create an inventory of business equipment, hosting, cloud and software services, business travel and relevant home-working energy use. Record data sources, coverage and gaps. Review it quarterly.
2. Operational emissions baseline — by 15 March 2027
Within six months, establish a documented operational emissions baseline using an appropriate method and reporting period, with transparent estimates where direct data is unavailable. Keep website emissions estimates separate from the organisational inventory.
3. Page-transfer reduction — by 15 September 2027
Within 12 months, reduce median page-transfer size by at least 10% against an initial fixed sample of OYNK-controlled pages, while preserving functionality and accessibility. Record the sample, test method and results; review quarterly.
4. Climate information in procurement — by 15 December 2026
Within three months, assess climate information for the three most material procurement decisions and identify practical improvements at renewal. Review 100% of those decisions annually.
5. Equipment repair, reuse and end of life — from 15 September 2026
From approval, assess repair, reuse or refurbished options before every business equipment replacement, document the choice, and use an appropriate reuse or recycling route at end of life. Retain the records.
Owner and resources
The Director owns this plan. The Director allocates two hours per month to tracking and implementation and uses existing performance and emissions tools, supplier disclosures and purchase records. Necessary paid changes are considered in the business budget; where a target is at risk, the Director records corrective action and resources needed.
Stakeholder engagement
We ask key suppliers for better data and reduction options, discuss efficient and accessible design with clients, and invite feedback through our public contact and stakeholder grievance procedure. We record input and changes it produces.
Reporting and oversight
Publish this plan on the website. Review progress at least annually, with the first annual review due by 15 September 2027, and publish targets, results, limitations and corrective actions. Refresh the full plan no later than 15 September 2029 (36 months after approval), or sooner after a material business change.
We do not claim carbon neutrality, quantified reductions or complete Scope 3 coverage without supporting evidence. Offsets do not substitute for the reductions in this plan.
This plan puts dated targets behind our sustainability policy.
