Who is OYNK Start for?
OYNK Start is for UK businesses that have been trading for less than 12 months. That can include limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
How do I prove my business is less than 12 months old?
We’ll just ask for reasonable evidence, such as your Companies House incorporation date or another document showing when you started trading.
What do I get for £1,595 + VAT?
You’ll get a professionally designed website of up to five pages, built with performance, accessibility, sustainability and technical SEO in mind. It also includes responsive development, a standard contact form, launch support and six months of EcoPigs monitoring, plus 12 months of managed hosting, maintenance and support.
Why does it cost so little?
Because the scope is deliberately controlled. We’ve simplified the process, limited the number of pages and removed the endless rounds of revisions that can make website projects expensive. You still get the same principles we care about across our wider work. The build is £995, and the first 12 months of hosting and support come at £50 + VAT a month instead of our standard £150.
Is this a template website?
No. We use a streamlined OYNK Start production process to keep the price down, but the design is still created around your business, branding and content. We’re not buying an off-the-shelf theme and changing the logo.
Will my website be on WordPress?
No. OYNK Start websites are built on OYNKcms, the content management system we built and run ourselves. You can change your words and images, and there are no plugins to keep updating or patching.
Do I own the website, and can I leave after the first year?
Yes. The code belongs to you. If you want to move away after your first year, you can: we won’t hold your website hostage, and we’ll help with the handover. Moving does take some work, though. You’ll need a new hosting supplier, and the site may be offline for a while during the switch.
Will my website be accessible?
Accessibility is considered from the beginning in both the design and development process. We don’t claim automatic formal WCAG compliance without the appropriate testing and audit, but we build with accessible principles as a baseline rather than treating accessibility as an afterthought.
Will the website be good for SEO?
We build in the technical foundations search engines need, including semantic structure, metadata, crawlability and performance considerations. We don’t promise rankings, because no agency can honestly guarantee those.
How long does the website take?
Our target is around 10 working days once we have everything we need from you, including content, branding, images and payment.
How many revisions do I get?
One consolidated revision round is included. Keeping the process focused is one of the ways we’re able to offer OYNK Start at this price.
What if my project turns out to be too complex for OYNK Start?
We’ll tell you before any work begins. If your requirements sit outside the programme, we can either simplify the scope or quote for the additional work separately.

How many pages are included?
Up to five standard pages. For most new businesses that’s enough for things like Home, About, Services, Contact and another key page relevant to the business.
Can I add more pages?
Yes. Additional pages can be quoted separately if you need them.
Does the price include copywriting?
Not as standard. You’ll need to provide your website copy, but we can help with copywriting or refining your existing content as an additional service.
What about branding and logos?
If you already have branding, we’ll work with it. If you need a logo or full brand identity, we can help with that too, but it sits outside the OYNK Start package.
Do you build ecommerce websites?
Not within the OYNK Start package. Ecommerce, large booking systems, memberships, custom integrations and more complex functionality can still be built by OYNK, but they’ll need a separate quote.
What makes the websites sustainable?
We aim to keep pages lightweight, avoid unnecessary scripts and assets, optimise media and build efficiently. Lower data transfer generally means lower associated digital emissions as well as better performance.
What is EcoPigs?
EcoPigs is our website emissions and performance monitoring platform. Every OYNK Start website includes six months of EcoPigs monitoring so you can keep an eye on how the site performs after launch.
When does the 10-day turnaround start?
Once your build slot is confirmed and we’ve received all the content and assets needed to begin. Waiting for copy, images or approvals can delay the project.
How does payment work?
The full £1,595 + VAT is paid upfront: £995 for the website and £600 for 12 months of managed hosting and support. There’s no monthly website bill during your first year.
Is hosting included?
Yes. OYNK Start websites are hosted and maintained by us for the first 12 months, and that’s part of the £1,595. It covers managed hosting, updates and maintenance, ongoing technical support, and keeping the site running properly after launch. Up to 3 hours per month for small content changes, maintenance and support. Unused time does not roll over, and larger design, development or new functionality is quoted separately. Our standard hosting and maintenance package is £150 + VAT a month; OYNK Start businesses get it for £50 + VAT a month for those 12 months.
What happens after the website launches?
We’ll help you get it live and make sure you know what happens next. Your first 12 months of hosting, maintenance and support are already included, along with six months of EcoPigs monitoring, and we can keep improving the website as the business grows.
What if I’m already more than 12 months old?
You won’t qualify for OYNK Start, but we can still help through our normal OYNK website and consultancy services.
Why are there only 100 places?
Because we want to keep the programme manageable and maintain the quality of the work. We’re ringfencing 100 OYNK Start builds rather than turning it into our standard website pricing.
