Two unitary authorities, not one county
Since 1 April 2021 the county council and its seven district and borough councils have been replaced by West Northamptonshire Council and North Northamptonshire Council. Anyone selling to the public sector here is selling to two buyers, not one, and they procure separately.

The UK’s largest intermodal rail freight interchange sits in the county, between Daventry and Rugby. It is the clearest single reason the software that matters here tends to be internal rather than public-facing.
