A&P Resin: from a thin Google Sites page to a hand-coded showcase

A&P Resin is a Daventry resin surfacing installer doing premium work that their old one-page Google Sites site did nothing to sell. We rebuilt it as a fast, hand-coded, image-led website that shows the craft — and quietly makes the environmental case for resin over traditional paving.

The Challenge

A&P Resin install premium resin bound driveways, patios, and surfacing across Daventry and Northamptonshire. The work is excellent. The website was a single thin Google Sites page — slow to load, hard to find on Google, and with no room to show the dozens of finished jobs that actually win this kind of work.

For a trade business, the website is the shop window. Homeowners choosing a several-thousand-pound driveway want to see proof, prices they can sanity-check, and a company that looks established. The old page delivered none of that.

What We Built

Hand-Coded Static Site

A 12-page site built by hand — no WordPress, no page builder, no database. Under 10KB of CSS and JavaScript combined, so it loads fast on a phone at the kerbside.

Real Photography, Front and Centre

28 real job photos optimised to lightweight WebP and built into a lazy-loaded gallery, plus per-service galleries. The work sells itself when people can actually see it.

Guideline Estimate Tool

A simple calculator that gives homeowners an honest price range — never a fixed quote — with clear "subject to site inspection" wording, so enquiries arrive better qualified.

Local SEO Foundation

Dedicated service pages, structured data, clean URLs, and a commercial-enquiries page — built so A&P Resin can be found for resin driveways across Daventry and Northamptonshire.

Why This Surfacing Is the Greener Choice

A&P Resin isn't a sustainability business — but resin bound surfacing is genuinely one of the more environmentally sound ways to pave, and the new site makes that case clearly. It matters for buyers and for the planet:

  • Permeable by design. Resin bound surfaces let rainwater drain straight through, unlike concrete, tarmac, or block paving. That makes them SUDS-friendly, reduces surface-water runoff, and helps lower local flood risk.
  • Often no planning permission needed. Because a permeable driveway manages its own drainage, it typically avoids the planning rules that catch non-permeable surfaces over five square metres.
  • Long-lasting and low-maintenance. A properly installed resin surface lasts for many years with minimal upkeep — fewer repairs and replacements over its lifetime than cheaper alternatives.
  • A website that matches the product. A lightweight, hand-coded site is the digital equivalent: fast, efficient, and far less wasteful than a bloated template build.

Permeability and planning guidance vary by site and installation; A&P Resin advises on specifics per project.

"OYNK turned our thin one-page site into a proper website that actually shows our work. It's fast, it looks the part, and it's already bringing in better enquiries. Ashley made the whole thing easy and explained everything in plain English."
