Code of Ethics
Adopted by the Board of Directors · March 2026
1. Purpose
This Code of Ethics sets out the values, principles, and standards of conduct that guide everyone acting on behalf of OYNK Ltd — including its directors, employees, contractors, and partners. It exists to ensure that our work is always carried out with integrity, transparency, and genuine respect for people and planet.
OYNK Ltd is a purpose-led digital sustainability company. Our commercial activity and our ethical commitments are inseparable. This Code is not a legal formality — it is a reflection of how we expect to behave, and how we expect to be held to account.
2. Integrity and Honesty
We hold ourselves to a standard of complete honesty in everything we produce, communicate, and sell. This means:
- We never misrepresent our products, their capabilities, or the results they produce.
- We do not use misleading metrics, cherry-picked data, or convenient approximations when accurate measurement is available.
- We acknowledge the limits of our tools and our knowledge openly, and we correct errors promptly when they are identified.
- We do not make claims — environmental, social, or commercial — that we cannot evidence and defend.
3. Environmental Responsibility
Our core purpose is to reduce the environmental impact of digital products. We hold ourselves to the same standards we apply to our clients:
- We measure and seek to reduce the carbon footprint of our own digital infrastructure and operations.
- We do not overstate environmental benefits — in our own operations or in the results we report for clients.
- We actively challenge industry norms that obscure or understate the true environmental cost of digital activity.
- We pursue continuous improvement in our own environmental performance and report on it honestly.
4. Social Responsibility
We believe digital products should work for everyone. Our commitment to social responsibility includes:
- Building and promoting tools that meet WCAG 2.2 AAA accessibility standards, so that digital experiences are inclusive by design.
- Through OYNK-SE, actively creating economic opportunity for people with varied lived experiences, including those who are typically excluded from the digital industry.
- Making enterprise-grade sustainability intelligence affordable and accessible to SMEs, not just large organisations.
- Treating all people — clients, collaborators, beneficiaries, and the public — with dignity and fairness.
5. Conflicts of Interest
We avoid situations where personal interests could compromise, or appear to compromise, our professional judgement or the interests of our clients and stakeholders.
- Any actual or potential conflict of interest must be disclosed promptly to the Director.
- We do not accept gifts, payments, or other benefits that could influence our professional conduct.
- We do not engage with clients, suppliers, or partners whose practices are fundamentally incompatible with our values without explicit review and justification.
6. Confidentiality and Data
We handle information about our clients, partners, and stakeholders responsibly:
- Client data is held securely, used only for the purposes for which it was provided, and never sold or shared without consent.
- We comply with all applicable data protection legislation, including UK GDPR.
- We are transparent with clients about what data our tools collect and how it is processed.
7. Fair Treatment and Inclusion
OYNK Ltd is committed to treating all people fairly and without discrimination. We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, or exclusion on the basis of age, disability, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic.
We apply this standard to our internal conduct, our hiring and contracting decisions, our client relationships, and the design of our products.
8. Accountability and Reporting
This Code of Ethics is owned by the Director of OYNK Ltd and reviewed at least annually. All individuals acting on behalf of OYNK Ltd are expected to:
- Read and understand this Code.
- Raise concerns about potential breaches promptly and without fear of reprisal.
- Cooperate fully with any investigation into a potential breach.
Breaches of this Code may result in termination of employment, contract, or partnership, and may be reported to relevant authorities where legally required.
9. Review
This Code will be reviewed annually by the Director, or sooner if significant changes to the business, its activities, or its operating context require it. Updates will be communicated to all relevant parties.
