Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how OYNK uses cookies and similar technologies.
Effective date: 1 March 2026
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website.
They help websites work properly and can also be used to remember preferences and measure usage.
How we use cookies
We may use cookies for:
- Essential site functionality
- Security and fraud prevention
- Remembering preferences
- Analytics (only where appropriate and where consent is required)
Types of cookies
Essential cookies
These are necessary for the site to function.
Analytics cookies
If we use analytics cookies, they help us understand website usage so we can improve performance and content.
Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before placing analytics cookies.
Marketing cookies
We do not aim to use marketing cookies.
If this changes, we will update this policy and implement appropriate consent controls.
Local storage
In addition to cookies, we use browser local storage for limited, non-personal purposes. Local storage works similarly to cookies but does not expire automatically and is never sent to servers with page requests.
Umami Analytics
Our privacy-focused analytics service (Umami) does not set any cookies or use local storage. It collects only anonymous, aggregated page view data with no personal identifiers.
EcoPigs Carbon Tracker
We use the EcoPigs tracking pixel to measure the real-world environmental impact of our website. It stores a single local storage key (ep_v_*) to detect return visits. This key contains no personal information — only a flag indicating you have visited before. No cookies are set, no IP addresses are recorded, and no data is shared with third parties. This data is used solely to produce a more accurate carbon footprint score for our site.
Managing cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings.
If you disable cookies, some parts of the website may not function properly.
Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time.
We will post updates on this page with a new effective date.
